Armoring

The safety and security of our customer and their employees is something that is taken seriously by each Griffin employee. We take pride in knowing that each product we produce is helping to secure the life and security of not only each person that uses our product, but also the family that person represents.

Our armored vehicles are built with serviceability and longevity in mind – quality is built in. We were the first armored vehicle builder to use G-90 galvanized metal, enhancing both the life and integrity of body exteriors. We now offer stainless steel as well. Griffin vehicles come complete, and include many features like patented rotary locks, built-in safes or shelves, electric locks, sirens, P/A systems, interlock systems and cameras.

Griffin uses independent testing labs to perform ballistic certification for all materials used in the manufacture of armored vehicles. Multiple samples are sent to ensure the appropriate level of protection is achieved using various types of ammunition.

All testing documents and certifications are kept on file.

Certification

Your safety is our #1 priority. All materials used in Griffin armored vehicles are tested by an independent outside testing lab for certification to meet required threat levels. Multiple samples/coupons are sent to ensure the appropriate level of protection is achieved using various types of ammunition.

Quality Assurance

When it comes to quality, our policy is firm: “We provide products and services that meet or exceed customer requirements within a culture that promotes the relentless pursuit of quality and continuous improvement.” Each Griffin body undergoes rigorous quality inspections at each department before entering the next step in the manufacturing process. Unannounced paint audits by outside vendors are also in place to ensure consistency in procedures and paint quality. Upon completion, each body is thoroughly inspected to further ensure that it meets the high level of quality our customers have come to expect.

We take pride in knowing that each armored truck we build is completely manufactured and fabricated in our facility under our strict quality oversight and standards.

Armoring Standards

With armored vehicles in more than 25 countries, our armoring systems are designed to meet or exceed the most recognized armoring standards, from American, British, German, Australian, and Russian. Griffin products provide the maximum bullet resistance available today in a variety of UL and NIJ listed protection levels, and each vehicle is manufactured in our state-of-the-art facility using carefully and thoroughly assembled and inspected bullet resistant materials to ensure the highest quality available in the industry.
